Nick Koev is a top-level soccer coach with over 20 years of experience in Calgary, where he has specialized in helping tier-one athletes hone their abilities. His technical skill set emphasizes individual skill and discipline, both essential for success at the highest levels of the sport.

Nick's soccer journey began as a player in the Bulgarian First League, where he excelled and developed a deep understanding of the game's technical nuances. After running technical programs for clubs in Germany and Mexico, Nick arrived in Calgary. There, he became the Founder and Director of Nick's Soccer Academy. Over the next 20 years, Nick cultivated a reputation as a coach who elevates players' skills to new heights, having produced a long line of top-level players who have advanced to play at the collegiate, national, and professional levels.

NICK'S PHILOSOPHY

My training/coaching philosophy is founded on the belief that repetition is the key to success on the field. Consistency not only helps players master technical skills, but it also builds their confidence, enabling them to perform under pressure in high-speed game situations. I place a strong emphasis on individualized coaching, tailoring my training sessions to meet the needs of each player. I teach skills first and then incorporate them into small-sided games and team-based drills. This approach provides players with ample opportunities to apply their skills in a dynamic and competitive environment.

As a soccer coach with 40 years of experience in coaching around the world, my mission is to provide high-level training that enhances player skills and prepares them for college sports and beyond. I am committed to creating a positive and challenging environment that fosters individual growth and teamwork, while promoting values such as discipline, sportsmanship, and a love for the game. Through personalized technical training and fitness development, my aim is to develop well-rounded athletes who are not only skilled on the field but also possess the character and leadership traits necessary to succeed in life. My ultimate goal is to help players reach their fullest potential and empower them to pursue their dreams both on and off the field.
